Mexican Lace Agate is a variety of banded Chalcedony, a mineral of the Quartz family. Agate is sometimes called the earth rainbow because, in its various forms, the concentric bands in nature form nearly every colour the earth can produce. Its graceful design in random lacy patterns, creates a flow of energy which stimulates the mind and attitude.
Mexican lace agate is commonly referred to as the "laughter stone" or "happy lace".
